I work in a library! I’m the engagement and marketing coordinator: I promote collections and services, connect readers to new ideas, and share our team’s knowledge. After working in public libraries for over 17 years, I have a passion for and knowledge of customer experience, effective outreach, and internal communication. And, of course, I read a lot. I love good design! When I’m not wearing my writing hat, I’m a sketcher, watercolor amateur, and sewer.

It’s one of my superpowers: I have experience writing for radio and television, and I’ve directed talent and done mixing in a sound studio. Writing, engineering, and producing audio projects for electronic media is super fun!

In my early college years, I was a reporter for a daily newspaper in Southern California.  It was a lot of late nights taking phone calls and hanging out in the copy room, but it was exciting.

Not only did it give me great customer service skills, working at several top restaurants in California’s Bay Area gave me some serious food and wine knowledge. I could talk shop about the biz all day.
